Issue # 4: September 1, 2001

Hello! I hope that you have taken full advantage of this wonderful sunny summer.

I certainly have... with many escapes to the country, camping, hiking, biking, swimming and visits to the yoga camp.

It's Official!

Until now I have been renting the yoga room at the Harmonia Center on a per class basis. I have just signed a lease for a year, so I have the security that the space is mine. It's a little scary, as it's a big step but the time has come. Who do you know who needs a space to do weekend workshops, conferences, or teach classes in a big sunny room? It's about 800 square feet and free publicity of events is available through Teva, the natural health food store downstairs. Please give them my phone number.

Testimonials

One of the things that affords me great pleasure in teaching yoga is the testimonials I receive. I began teaching almost nine years ago and each week there are new benefits that my students share with me. The effects of regular yoga practice are pervasive and astonishing.

Here is a sampling of the feedback.

"I feel calmer, more self assured."

"I feel like I am getting a hold of my own energy and learning how to focus better than ever before. I look forward to a life long activity that will help keep me "together" for the rest of my days."

"I found the movements carried themselves over into mechanisms for coping in stressful situations and often find myself breathing deeply in the car as well as in the classroom full of active kindergarteners."

"When I took a break from yoga I felt my body getting all mushy again."

"Yoga has allowed me to calm and nurture my body, it has given me a quiet space away from everyday burdens."

"It has gotten me started on the right track to a healthier lifestyle."

"I developed awareness, when I am stressed I can feel my body change, and with a few deep breaths I can help myself relax."

"I sleep better and am less stressed."

Register Now for the Fall Session

Some classes are starting to fill up. As usual I've enclosed extra flyers for any beginners you know interested in trying a class. If you'd like to reserve your place you can do so by sending a postdated check, dated to the first day of the class. I suggest you send it to the above address a week before the class starts.

Please recycle and save trees. If you would rather not be on my mailing list, simply let me know by phone (514) 890-6059 or e-mail info@illuminartyoga.com. Also, please let me know if you have a change of address.

I'll see you in September!
