Lazy Days of Summer!

This has been a very busy spring for me, with many new classes and a contract teaching two yoga classes after work in a company that builds Web sites.

I've also done a few "stretching and stress relief workshops" for the workplace and for the next 6 months I took on being President of the networking group I'm a member of—BNI—Business Network International.

By the way, if you are an entrepreneur or know someone who is, please contact me for more information regarding this group. It's a great way to increase your business through referrals and word-of-mouth marketing.

Yoga is Everywhere

Recently praised by Oprah and on the front cover of the US edition of Time magazine, with a 10-page article inside. Sivananda Yoga is called "one of the world's largest schools of yoga" and rated as moderately difficult. The article states it "may require lifestyle changes."

Sivananda Yoga suggests 5 points as the yogic path towards health, happiness and inner peace:

1. Proper Exercise:
the yoga physical exercises called "Asanas" gently stretch and tone all parts of the body, increasing strength and flexibility, keeping the body healthy and young.

2. Yogic Breathing:
deep breathing cleanses and nourishes the body and has an immediate calming effect. The pranayama breathing exercises release vital energy and teach you how to control the mental state.

3. Proper Relaxation:
is essential to recharge your energy. Yoga trains the mind and muscles to relax completely.

4. Vegetarian Diet:
promotes good health and serenity of mind.

5. Positive Thinking and Meditation:
helps keep a balanced mind and with practice you will begin to experience wisdom and inner peace.

"Health is wealth,
peace of mind is happiness,
yoga shows the way.
"
